Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2020, the North Carolina Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone male population was 1,040,255; and represented 20.32% of the total North Carolina male population in 2020.

Mecklenburg County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone male population (158,134), followed by Wake County (102,915), and Guilford County (84,871).

On the other hand, Mitchell County had the lowest Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone male population (66), followed by Clay County (82), and Graham County (89).
