Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2014, the North Carolina Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone male population was 994,922; and represented 20.57% of the total North Carolina male population in 2014.

Mecklenburg County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone male population (142,597), followed by Wake County (93,659), and Guilford County (77,595).

On the other hand, Graham County had the lowest Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone male population (16), followed by Mitchell County (45), and Clay County (53).
