Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2016, the North Carolina Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone male population was 1,015,812; and represented 20.54% of the total North Carolina male population in 2016.

Mecklenburg County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone male population (150,143), followed by Wake County (97,089), and Guilford County (80,683).

On the other hand, Graham County had the lowest Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone male population (26), followed by Mitchell County (37), and Clay County (60).
