Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2013, the North Carolina Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone male population was 984,735; and represented 20.53% of the total North Carolina male population in 2013.

Mecklenburg County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone male population (139,548), followed by Wake County (91,958), and Guilford County (76,174).

On the other hand, Graham County had the lowest Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone male population (14), followed by Mitchell County (40), and Clay County (44).
