Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2011, the North Carolina Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone male population was 962,634; and represented 20.45% of the total North Carolina male population in 2011.

Mecklenburg County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone male population (131,475), followed by Wake County (86,882), and Guilford County (73,682).

On the other hand, Graham County had the lowest Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone male population (11), followed by Mitchell County (34), and Clay County (41).
