According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2011, the number of deaths for Alaska was 3,922. Anchorage had the highest number of deaths (1,498), followed by Matanuska-Susitna (519), and Fairbanks North Star (447). On the other hand, Skagway had the lowest number of deaths (1), followed by Yakutat (5), and Denali (5).
