According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2012, the number of deaths for Alaska was 3,923. Anchorage had the highest number of deaths (1,504), followed by Matanuska-Susitna (520), and Fairbanks North Star (449). On the other hand, Skagway had the lowest number of deaths (1), followed by Yakutat (2), and Aleutians East (4).
