According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2022, the number of deaths for Alaska was 6,388. Anchorage had the highest number of deaths (2,522), followed by Matanuska-Susitna (995), and Fairbanks North Star (674). On the other hand, Denali had the lowest number of deaths (6), followed by Yakutat (7), and Skagway (7).
