According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2019, the number of deaths for Alaska was 4,748. Anchorage had the highest number of deaths (1,943), followed by Matanuska-Susitna (675), and Fairbanks North Star (492). On the other hand, Skagway had the lowest number of deaths (4), followed by Bristol Bay (4), and Aleutians West (4).
