According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2011, the death rate for Alaska was 5.46. Yukon-Koyukuk had the highest death rate (9.79), followed by Nome (9.21), and Kusilvak (8.33). On the other hand, Aleutians West had the lowest death rate (0.9), followed by Skagway (1.04), and Aleutians East (1.87).
