According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2018, the number of deaths for Alaska was 4,435. Anchorage had the highest number of deaths (1,679), followed by Matanuska-Susitna (617), and Fairbanks North Star (505). On the other hand, Yakutat had the lowest number of deaths (2), followed by Aleutians East (3), and Skagway (8).
