According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2021, the number of deaths for Alaska was 5,333. Anchorage had the highest number of deaths (2,091), followed by Matanuska-Susitna (813), and Fairbanks North Star (580). On the other hand, Yakutat had the lowest number of deaths (1), followed by Bristol Bay (7), and Skagway (9).
