According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2014, the number of deaths for Alaska was 4,007. Anchorage had the highest number of deaths (1,619), followed by Matanuska-Susitna (523), and Fairbanks North Star (433). On the other hand, Yakutat had the lowest number of deaths (2), followed by Skagway (2), and Denali (6).
