According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2023, the net domestic migration for Virginia was -9,646. Chesterfield County had the highest net domestic migration (3,538) followed by Spotsylvania County (2,055), and Suffolk city (1,952). On the other hand, Fairfax County had the lowest net domestic migration (-13,847), followed by Prince William County (-4,149), and Virginia Beach city (-3,857).
