According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2021, the net domestic migration for Virginia was -4,643. Chesterfield County had the highest net domestic migration (4,486) followed by Spotsylvania County (3,017), and Stafford County (2,868). On the other hand, Fairfax County had the lowest net domestic migration (-16,691), followed by Arlington County (-7,240), and Alexandria city (-5,908).
