Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2020, the Tennessee Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone male population was 542,306; and represented 15.94% of the total Tennessee male population in 2020.

Shelby County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone male population (227,591), followed by Davidson County (85,850), and Hamilton County (31,389).

On the other hand, Pickett County had the lowest Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone male population (5), followed by Hancock County (17), and Van Buren County (26).
