According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2021, the number of deaths for Illinois was 128,378. Cook had the highest number of deaths (48,161), followed by DuPage (7,264), and Will (5,626). On the other hand, Putnam had the lowest number of deaths (59), followed by Pope (62), and Calhoun (62).
