According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2012, the number of deaths for Illinois was 101,312. Cook had the highest number of deaths (38,870), followed by DuPage (5,863), and Lake (4,232). On the other hand, Brown had the lowest number of deaths (48), followed by Hardin (52), and Scott (55).
