Based on data from the CDC, the overall number of fatal drug overdose deaths involving Methamphetamine in the US in 2023 was 23,167, and the age adjusted rate per 100,000 persons was 10.4. These overall values was based on data from 42 jurisdictions (i.e. states and DC).

Among all states with data, Washington had the highest number of fatal drug overdose deaths involving Methamphetamine (1,885), followed by Arizona (1,695), Tennessee (1,591), and Ohio (1,311).

In terms of the age-adjusted rate of fatal drug overdose deaths involving Methamphetamine per 100K persons, West Virginia had the highest (44.7), followed by Alaska (27.5), and Oregon (26.4).
