Based on data from the CDC, the overall number of fatal drug overdose deaths involving Methamphetamine in the US in 2021 was 14,395, and the age adjusted rate per 100,000 persons was 9.7. These overall values was based on data from 33 jurisdictions (i.e. states and DC).

Among all states with data, Ohio had the highest number of fatal drug overdose deaths involving Methamphetamine (1,363), followed by Arizona (1,308), Pennsylvania (1,060), and Kentucky (1,048).

In terms of the age-adjusted rate of fatal drug overdose deaths involving Methamphetamine per 100K persons, West Virginia had the highest (47.3), followed by New Mexico (26.2), and Alaska (25.4).
