Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2017, the Tennessee Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone female population was 593,851; and represented 17.27% of the total Tennessee female population in 2017.

Shelby County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone female population (270,680), followed by Davidson County (101,411), and Hamilton County (37,657).

On the other hand, Pickett County had the lowest Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone female population (5), followed by Hancock County (14), and Scott County (18).
