Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2012, the Michigan Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone male population was 657,543; and represented 13.53% of the total Michigan male population in 2012.

Wayne County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone male population (329,268), followed by Oakland County (76,266), and Genesee County (39,994).

On the other hand, Keweenaw County had the lowest Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone male population (3), followed by Alcona County (6), and Ontonagon County (8).
