According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2017, the death rate for Alaska was 5.97. Yukon-Koyukuk had the highest death rate (12.02), followed by Lake and Peninsula (11.25), and Prince of Wales-Hyder (9.1). On the other hand, Skagway had the lowest death rate (2.6), followed by Aleutians East (3.24), and Aleutians West (3.31).
