Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2018, among all Illinois counties, Alexander County had the highest percentage of its population who identified their ethnicity as Non-Hispanic Black or African American (31.92%), followed by St. Clair County (30.29%), and Pulaski County (29.91%).
