Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2016, among all Illinois counties, Alexander County had the highest percentage of its population who identified their ethnicity as Non-Hispanic Black or African American (32.71%), followed by Pulaski County (30.71%), and St. Clair County (30.12%).
