Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2011, among all Illinois counties, Alexander County had the highest percentage of its population who identified their ethnicity as Non-Hispanic Black or African American (35.66%), followed by Pulaski County (32.34%), and St. Clair County (30.28%).
