Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2021, among all Michigan counties, Chippewa County had the highest percentage of its population who identified their ethnicity as Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native (16.35%), followed by Mackinac County (15.83%), and Baraga County (13.41%).
