Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2012, among all Michigan counties, Mackinac County had the highest percentage of its population who identified their ethnicity as Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native (17.16%), followed by Chippewa County (15.3%), and Baraga County (13.33%).
