According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2023, the net domestic migration for North Carolina was 98,981. Wake County had the highest net domestic migration (12,160) followed by Brunswick County (7,503), and Union County (5,777). On the other hand, Cumberland County had the lowest net domestic migration (-4,686), followed by Durham County (-786), and Halifax County (-371).
