According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2024, the net domestic migration for Alaska was -3,774. Matanuska-Susitna Borough had the highest net domestic migration (1,755) followed by Southeast Fairbanks Borough (44), and Prince of Wales-Hyder Borough (39). On the other hand, Anchorage Borough had the lowest net domestic migration (-2,322), followed by Fairbanks North Star Borough (-1,849), and Kodiak Island Borough (-266).
