According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2023, the net domestic migration for Alaska was -4,886. Matanuska-Susitna Borough had the highest net domestic migration (1,182) followed by Kenai Peninsula Borough (587), and Prince of Wales-Hyder Borough (46). On the other hand, Anchorage Borough had the lowest net domestic migration (-3,061), followed by Fairbanks North Star Borough (-1,142), and Juneau City and Borough (-369).
