Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2015, the US Non-Hispanic Black or African American Alone citizen population was 37,468,520 and represented 12.73% of the total US citizen population.

Among all US states and DC, Georgia had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (2.99M), followed by Texas (2.98M), and Florida (2.79M).

In terms of percentages, District of Columbia had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (50.96%), followed by Mississippi (37.78%), and Louisiana (32.62%).
