Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2014, the US Non-Hispanic Black or African American Alone citizen population was 37,137,615 and represented 12.73% of the total US citizen population.

Among all US states and DC, Georgia had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (2.95M), followed by Texas (2.93M), and Florida (2.73M).

In terms of percentages, District of Columbia had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (51.65%), followed by Mississippi (37.70%), and Louisiana (32.65%).
