APU Terminal Block May Short and Cause Fire

Carrier Corporation (Carrier) is recalling certain Aspen Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) models Aspen-INT, Aspen-STA, and Aspen-PWR. The APU positive terminal block may have corrosion, resulting in a short circuit.

Consequence Summary:
A short circuit increases the risk of a fire.
Corrective Action:
Dealers will remove the terminal block permanently and repair the wires, free of charge. Owners are advised not to use the APU until the remedy is performed. Owner notification letters were mailed May 16, 2025. Owners may contact Carrier customer service at 1-800-448-1661.
