Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2017, among all Michigan counties, Wayne County had the highest percentage of its population who identified their ethnicity as Non-Hispanic Black or African American (38.42%), followed by Genesee County (20.03%), and Saginaw County (18.51%).
