Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2012, among all Michigan counties, Wayne County had the highest percentage of its population who identified their ethnicity as Non-Hispanic Black or African American (39.58%), followed by Genesee County (20.57%), and Saginaw County (18.62%).
