Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2023, among all New Mexico counties, McKinley County had the highest percentage of its population who identified their ethnicity as Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native (75.84%), followed by Cibola County (43.6%), and San Juan County (40.08%).
