According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2011, the net migration rate per 1,000 population for North Dakota was 11.09. McKenzie County had the highest net migration rate per 1,000 population (84.29), followed by Billings County (73.71), and Williams County (71.82). On the other hand, Grant County had the lowest net migration rate per 1,000 population (-20.2), followed by Slope County (-15.07), and Adams County (-14.58).
