According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2022, the net migration rate per 1,000 population for Maine was 12.73. Piscataquis County had the highest net migration rate per 1,000 population (20.06), followed by Oxford County (19.69), and Washington County (18.81). On the other hand, Sagadahoc County had the lowest net migration rate per 1,000 population (9.07), followed by Androscoggin County (9.74), and Knox County (10.2).
