According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2024, the net migration rate per 1,000 population for Colorado was 6.52. San Juan County had the highest net migration rate per 1,000 population (24.72), followed by Costilla County (23.8), and Kiowa County (23.12). On the other hand, Jackson County had the lowest net migration rate per 1,000 population (-29.35), followed by Dolores County (-21.63), and Washington County (-17.65).

Net migration rate for a county refers to the difference between the number of migrants, both domestic and international, moving to the county and those leaving the county per 1,000 of the county's mid-year population.
