According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2023, the net migration rate per 1,000 population for Colorado was 5.7. Bent County had the highest net migration rate per 1,000 population (51.88), followed by Custer County (38.74), and Elbert County (31.93). On the other hand, Kiowa County had the lowest net migration rate per 1,000 population (-34.21), followed by Clear Creek County (-22.12), and Eagle County (-20.09).

Net migration rate for a county refers to the difference between the number of migrants, both domestic and international, moving to the county and those leaving the county per 1,000 of the county's mid-year population.
