According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2012, the number of births for Alaska was 11,126. Anchorage had the highest number of births (4,588), followed by Fairbanks North Star (1,600), and Matanuska-Susitna (1,315) On the other hand, Skagway had the lowest number of births (7), followed by Yakutat (8), and Bristol Bay (9).
