Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2017, the US Non-Hispanic Black or African American Alone citizen voting-age population was 28,281,660 and represented 12.46% of the total US citizen voting-age population.

Among all US states and DC, Texas had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen voting-age population (2.28M), followed by Georgia (2.26M), and Florida (2.09M).

In terms of percentages, District of Columbia had the highest percentage of its citizen voting-age population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (47.74%), followed by Mississippi (36.44%), and Georgia (31.60%).
