Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2016, the US Non-Hispanic Black or African American Alone citizen voting-age population was 27,889,175 and represented 12.42% of the total US citizen voting-age population.

Among all US states and DC, Texas had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen voting-age population (2.23M), followed by Georgia (2.21M), and Florida (2.04M).

In terms of percentages, District of Columbia had the highest percentage of its citizen voting-age population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (48.16%), followed by Mississippi (36.22%), and Georgia (31.33%).
