On Thursday, 04 April 2024, at approximately 7:00 AM, while performing routine Ante-Mortem/Humane Handling tasks, I observed the following noncompliance. I noticed that the sheep do not have access to water at all once inside the indoor holding pen. I, CSI REDACTED, notified REDACTED III of this concern. According to 9 CFR 313.2(e), it states that “Animals shall have access to water in all holding pens and, if held longer than 24 hours, access to feed.” After searching our regulations and speaking with my supervisor, Dr. REDACTED, we agreed that this was an issue and they do in fact need to be provided with water. I made REDACTED III aware of the NR that I would be writing.
