While performing Post-Mortem Inspection on cattle on the slaughter floor at approximately 1:30pm at Kelley Meats, Est 4482, the following events occurred. Bellowing was heard coming from the Ante-Mortem pens. This bellowing was coming from the last animal alive and waiting to be slaughtered and presented for Inspection. After approximately 30 seconds or more an employee went to investigate the vocalization. It was discovered that the beef animal somehow had its head stuck at the bottom of the entrance gate across from the overhead door between the two bottom bars and was trapped. Management and Plant employees immediately went into action to free the animal by using a saws-all to cut one of the bottom cross bars. While this was being performed the animal seemed to calm down. After the bar was cut free the beef animal was able to free its head with minimal excitement. The event above lasted approximately 5 minutes at the most. REDACTED (Plant Owner) was informed of the Non-Compliance with Regulation 313.1 (a)
