High Voltage Battery May Fail and Cause Fire

Webasto Thermo & Comfort NA, INC (Webasto) is recalling certain CV Standard Gen1 Batteries part numbers 5613175, 5610618, and 5610610 that include Samsung SDI Co cell in a 2P configuration. The high voltage batteries may fail.

Consequence Summary:

Battery failure can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash. Battery failure can also increase the risk of a fire.

Corrective Action:

Webasto will install a new software update, free of charge. Notification schedule has not yet been determined. Vehicle owners may contact their respective vehicle manufacturer's customer service phone number listed in each vehicle recall.
