Tire Carrier Affecting Lighting/FMVSS 108, 111
TAP Worldwide, LLC (TAP) is recalling certain Poison Spyder Customs-brand Tire Carriers, part number 19-62-030TP1, sold as aftermarket parts. These Tire Carriers may not provide a license plate lamp or center high-mounted brake light and may also cause the rear visibility camera system to be inoperable. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment," and number 111, "Rearview Mirrors."

TAP Worldwide, LLC (TAP) is recalling certain Poison Spyder Customs Tire Carrier Delete Plates, part number 19-04-012P1, sold as aftermarket parts. These Tire Carrier Delete Plates may not provide a license plate illumination lamp, may interfere with the center high-mounted brake light positioning, and may also cause the rear visibility system to be inoperable. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment," and number 111, "Rearview Mirrors."

These trailer kits were sold without the required labeling for the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR), Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR), and cargo capacity statements. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."
