Suzuki Motor USA, LLC: Safety Recalls in 2024

A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of fire.

Owners are advised that if they must ride the scooter before the safety recall repair has been completed, they should check the scooter for fuel leakage and proper operation as outlined in the "Inspection before riding" checklist in the owner's manual. Dealers will replace the fuel supply hose assembly and fuel vapor hose assembly with new parts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 10, 2025. A blocked brake fluid port can extend the distance required to stop, increasing the risk of a crash.

Dealers will replace the front brake master cylinder body and brake fluid cap diaphragm, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 25, 2024. Owners may contact Suzuki Customer Service at 1-714- 572-1490. Suzuki's number for this recall is 3A04. This recall expands and replaces previous recall number 23V-088. Motorcycles previously recalled under 23V-088 will need to have the new remedy completed.

Tread separation may cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Owners are advised not to ride their motorcycles until the remedy has been completed. Dealers will replace the rear tire, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 20, 2024. A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.

Dealers will inspect and repair the drive chain with a replacement joint and replace sprockets as necessary, free of charge. All affected motorcycles are within the manufacturer’s direct control and therefore no owner notification letters will be sent. Owners may contact Suzuki customer service at (714) 572-1490. A brake fluid leak can result in reduced braking performance, increasing the risk of a crash.

Dealers will inspect and tighten the brake pipe flare nut connection and adjust the brake fluid level, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 5, 2024. Owners may contact Suzuki customer service at 1-714-542-1490. Suzuki's number for this recall is 3A01.
