Inadequate Vapor Space of Diesel Fuel Tank

S&B Filters, Inc. (S&B) is recalling certain Diesel Fuel Tanks, with part number 10-1021. On some RAM Mega Cab vehicles that have a larger diameter driveline, the diesel fuel tank may have insufficient clearance and contact the driveline due to the inadequate vapor space.

Consequence Summary:

Inadequate vapor space of the fuel tank can cause the tank to swell and leak fuel if it contacts the driveline, increasing the risk of a fire.

Corrective Action:

Dealers will make a venting modification, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 29, 2022. Owners may contact S&B customer service at 1-909-947-0015.
